Philips Manufacturing Supervisor (Fremont, CA) in Fremont, California

The Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices Angiosculpt manufacturing plant-based in Fremont, CA. You are building the product in a “Clean Room” environment with manual assembly, UV adhesive bonding, thermal bonding, ultrasonic processing, and leak testing.

Your role:

  • Creates a working environment that continuously improves the Health and Safety of workers, including identification and management of occupational risk, provision of information and training, review of performance, and provision of sufficient resources to maintain an effective H&S program.

  • Manages and deploys the processes and standards with embedded quality into the way of working including adherence to compliance with safety, regulatory- and environmental requirements as well as local laws, Philips General Business principles, and other policies.

  • Accountable for the preparation and execution of one or more manufacturing production processes to deliver safe, compliant, quality products and services to our customers. This can be both in-house and outsourced activities.

  • Leads the production unit, related processes, and staff in the execution of activities that lead to world-class operational performance.

  • Ensures manufacturing performance, volume, quality, and cost goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

  • Proactively identifies production capacity bottlenecks regarding own resources and manages external (specialized) production capacity.

  • Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials including preparation of investment plans.

  • Executes and/or supports projects, goals, and metrics and drive continuous improvement efforts. Initiates/sponsors production-dominated improvement projects. Represents production function in cross-functional projects.

  • Is responsible for performance feedback cycle and recruiting process of competence group. Increases technical knowledge of the team via facilitating knowledge transfer (e.g. mentorship, coaching).

You're the right fit if:

  • Preferred B.S. in Supply Chain, Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related fields

  • Requires 6+ years of work experience in manufacturing industrial/manufacturing engineering/Supply Chain, preferably with medical devices in clean room environments. Previous manufacturing experience supervising and managing direct labor is a plus.

  • Experience with 6S in operations is required. Prefer Lean Basic training (Green Belt), and Six Sigma experience is highly desirable.

  • Proven leadership, persuasiveness, initiative, project management, lean, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.

  • Intermediate/advanced PC skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications are required.

  • As a key representative to many internal and cross-site partners, must be organized, efficient, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, work hours may vary between 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position oversees one shift approximately 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday and occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

  • This role is based in Fremont, CA.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $68,992 to $118,272. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission, or long-term incentives may be offered.
