Google Equipment Engineer, Raxium in Fremont, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in a semiconductor fab, Research and Development (R&D) lab, or a related area.

  • Experience with two or more of the following: wet etch, dry etch, deposition, lithography, CMP, backend.

  • Experience with RODI, PVAC, AWN, electrical, and hazardous material distribution systems.

  • Experience with equipment engineering or maintenance engineering.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience overseeing yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume and high complexity parts.

  • Experience with AutoCAD, designing layouts and tooling, and reading and understanding equipment schematics.

  • Understanding of the relationship between cleanroom process equipment and facility support equipment.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex semiconductor equipment, particularly lithography tools, deposition systems, and etching tools.

  • Excellent project coordination and communication skills, both verbal and written, including emails, reports, and technical documentation.

Raxium is at the forefront of microLED technology innovation.

In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our semiconductor equipment and cleanroom infrastructure, directly supporting the development of our groundbreaking microLED displays. This is a unique opportunity to work with technology in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This role may occasionally require overtime or work outside of standard business hours to support production needs and project deadlines.

Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Maintain a wide range of semiconductor equipment, keeping production lines running at peak performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity.

  • Collaborate with engineers, process technicians, and vendors, fostering a strong team environment focused on continuous improvement.
