Our client, a leader in the data storage solutions industry, is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join their team. As an Engineering Technician I, you will be part of the Media Development Engineering department, supporting the operations of advanced sputter machines in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, ensuring successful outcomes for ongoing engineering projects.

Job Title: Engineering Technician -

Location: Fremont, CA

Swift 2pm-1030pm $29.70/hour

Day Shift 630am-2pm $27/hour

What’s the Job?

1. Operate the Intevac 200L sputter machine efficiently to process engineering experiments.

2. Work in a class 10/100 cleanroom environment following detailed procedures and protocols.

3. Provide feedback to engineering staff regarding results, data collection, and process improvements.

4. Utilize metrology tools to collect and document sputter-related data.

5. Collaborate with team members and cross-train on various media processes and equipment.

What’s Needed?

1. No previous machine experience required – training provided.

2. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and email).

3. Strong communication skills for interaction with engineering via email and phone.

4. Ability to follow instructions precisely and provide constructive feedback.

5. Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment with PPE.
