Job Title: Dishwasher/Junitor

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for full cycle dishwasher operations, including loading, running, and unloading the machine. They will ensure all dishes, glassware, flatware, and silverware are properly cleaned at proper sanitation temperatures and are ready for service. They will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for pots, pans, and trays that need to be hand washed. Other duties include sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, and placing them in racks to send through the dish machine. They will also transport clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage areas, and change dishwater in the dish machine every hour. The position involves sorting and removing trash and filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions. The successful candidate will also sweep, scrub, and mop floors, maintain the dish pit clean, and clean garbage cans with water or steam.

This is a fully on-site position in Fremont, California.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced kitchen with a high sense of urgency. It has a moderate to high noise level and exposure to soap and cleaning solutions. There may be encounters with slippery/uneven surfaces and frequently moving from a cold freezer to a normal kitchen environment. There may also be occasional smoke, steam, and heat in a confined space, and hot/cold environments when moving things in and out of the fridge and freezer.
