Responsibilities

-Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, fuel systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and other components.

-Conduct repairs on diesel engines, including replacing worn or damaged parts (such as pistons, injectors, or alternators), repairing or rebuilding components, and performing system overhauls

-Replace or repair fuel injectors, turbochargers, air conditioning systems, exhaust systems, and suspension components.

-Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements to ensure the proper operation of diesel engines.

-Inspect and lubricate engine components and other mechanical systems, ensuring they are in good working condition.

-Operate and interpret diagnostic equipment (e.g., computerized scan tools, diagnostic software) to identify engine or system issues.

-Perform tests on diesel engines and related systems to verify proper function after repairs.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 8lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
