Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Fredericksburg, Virginia

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Technician with 1-3 years of experience to perform preventative maintenance on machinery, read and follow parts and instruction manuals, and operate power tools safely. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, with an emphasis on teamwork. Candidates should be ready to develop advanced troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls while on the job.

Hard Skills

  • Basic troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic controls, hydraulic controls

  • Able to follow preventative maintenance routines

  • Operation of power tools

  • Reading and understanding parts and instruction manuals

  • Installation skills (air lines, water piping, electrical conduit)

Soft Skills

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Culpeper, Virginia.

Work Environment

This role requires the willingness to work weekends and odd hours as needed, with potential for prolonged standing and repetitive motions. The position involves bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Candidates may frequently lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs, as well as push/pull carts. Hand dexterity and strength are essential. Overtime, including weekends, may be required sometimes with little or no advance notice. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and report to work regularly. Shifts available: Monday - Friday, 1st shift: 5:00AM - 2:00PM, 2nd shift: 4:30PM - 1:30AM (10% differential in pay).
