Description

We are the enterprise messaging team handling the management, maintenance and enhancement of the IBM MQ infrastructure. We are looking for a motivated engineer who can work with is in our organizational goal of isolating production and non-production workloads from each other.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration Engineer to join our Messaging team. The ideal candidate will have a strong in IBM MQ, Python, Java, Shell Scripting, Git, Reverse Engineering, Documentation, CI/CD, API development, and Integration Patterns. This role involves implementing architecture approved patterns and implementing complex integration solutions, ensuring seamless communication between various systems, and contributing to our continuous delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

IBM MQ Management: Understand, implement, and manage message queuing solutions using IBM MQ to ensure reliable and secure communication between distributed systems.

Software Development: Develop and maintain infrastructure software applications using Python and Java to support integration and automation initiatives.

Scripting: Create and maintain Shell Scripts to automate tasks and enhance system integration.

Version Control: Use Git for source code management, branching, merging, and version control.

Reverse Engineering: Analyze existing systems and software to understand their functionality and integration points, and document findings to support enhancements and troubleshooting.

Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all integration processes, system architecture, and development workflows to ensure clarity and support maintenance tasks.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools to ensure automated and reliable software delivery.

API Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs to facilitate the integration of various systems and services.

Integration Patterns: Apply integration patterns and best practices to ensure efficient and maintainable communication between systems.

equirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Proven experience with IBM MQ on Linux, MQ Appliance, Mainframe MQ is a plus.

Strong programming skills in Python and Java.

Proficient with Shell Scripting and automation.

Hands-on experience with Git for version control.

Experience in reverse engineering and analyzing complex systems.

Strong documentation skills for creating detailed technical documents.

Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.

Expertise in developing and managing APIs.

Knowledge of integration patterns and best practices.

Additional Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Familiarity with cloud platforms and services is a plus. AWS is preferred.

Experience with other messaging systems and integration tools is beneficial such as SQS, Rabbit MQ, etc..

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00
