API Heat Transfer Material Handler in Franklin, Wisconsin

What You Will Do:

The Material Handler will participate in all warehouse activities and receive and process stock according to standard operating procedures.

  • Help drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse

  • Assist with inventory counts and planning

  • Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ensure materials or containers are moved.

  • Opens containers.

  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.

  • Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys the load to its destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move it to its destination.

  • Counts, weighs and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.

  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

  • Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator.

  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

  • To facilitate the movement of materials or products, clamp sections of a portable conveyor together or place conveyor sections on blocks or boxes.

  • Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to the laboratory for analysis.

  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

  • Make simple adjustments or repairs like realigning belts or replacing rollers.

  • Assemble crates to contain products such as machines or vehicles.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma; Associates degree preferred

  • At least two years of previous warehouse experience

  • Forklift certification and reach truck driving experience preferred

  • Solution focused and process improvement driven

  • Proven ability to develop relationships with internal partners

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Bonus points if you bring experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement
