Job Overview
Location: Franklin, PA This is a critical role as business leader for C&A products utilized on all product lines with respect to achieving market share, driving profitable product growth and increasing KMC's competitive differentiation, across the underground soft rock organization.
Key Job Responsibilities
(1) Align C&A roadmaps with product roadmaps for all products. (2) Provide direction to the C&A development and sustain team regarding development needs aligned with product roadmaps and obsolescence issues. (3) Support the sale of products through technical and commercial support of tenders, presentations to customers, OE contract execution to achieve bookings, profitability and market share targets. (4) Guide product marketing activity, including product launches, presentations, competitive comparisons and sales training. (5) Sponsor product life cycle strategies to drive the sunrise and sunset of product offerings, features and options in alignment with product roadmaps, proven designs, cost controls and inventory.
Predominant Tasks
(1) Ensure globalization of product as required. (2) Lead the product manager/s and work with the regional sales and marketing team to analyze market dynamics and define market needs of current and next model of products. (3) Lead the compilation of the master plan for Automation by working collaboratively with regional and global teams, including market requirements, competitive landscape, gaps, product positioning, lifecycle, pricing, operations footprint and product support plan. (4) Work collaboratively with regional and global teams to execute the product strategy. (5) Evaluate customer inquiries with sales team and oversee the tendering process of automation products, and strategize on automation pricing, technical specs, and delivery lead time to maximize winning opportunities. (6) Direct the C&A teams and continue to seek growth opportunities by anticipation of customer needs and application of upgraded technology. (7) Provide analytics roadmap to inform leadership team on automation performance (financially and technically) and suggest actions to influence the trends. (8) Coordinate resources to meet internal and customer needs of product training, presentation, technical liaison etc.

(11) Set and manage clear customer-facing product offerings or options that the organization can commercially promise and deliver. (12) Accountable for product price, cost, profitability, market share, competitive analysis, product quality and inventory. (13) Work closely with the Global Product and Region teams, cross-regionally and cross- functionally, to create a clear integrated Automation strategy, and a master product and automation plan, to be incorporated into the regional strategies refreshed on annual basis. (14) Direct or perform market research involving meetings with customers and sales personnel to define market needs on automation and digitization. (15) Coordinate the adoption of common control platforms across the product range of al C&A supported products. (16) Is the "holistic business management of the product" from the time it is conceived as an idea to the time it is discontinued and withdrawn from the market.
Qualifications/Requirements
(1) A bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing or related field, required. (2) 5 years of experience in product management, product development, or sales and marketing of customized underground mining equipment, required. (3) Strong business acumen, application knowledge, global mindset, ability to do strategic planning and be hands-on to execute, required. (4) Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communicator (verbal and written), facilitator and influencer, required. (5) Comfortable working in a matrix environment and work collaboratively to deliver results, required. (6) Comfortable working in complex and uncertain environment, forming plans, making decision, and moving forward, required. (7) Strong presentation and negotiation skills with senior customers, required. (8) A master's in business administration (MBA), preferred (9) Participation in effective change management implementation, desired. (10) Experience in a cross-functional assignment(s), desired. (11) Professional registration and/or membership in committees and/or technical societies, beneficial.
