The Industrial Engineer supports Franklin Industries by being a catalyst for change, combining execution of strategic initiatives with strong leadership of cross-functional operating, technical, and maintenance teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that safety is the number one priority for Franklin Industries. Watch and abide by all safety protocols.
- Establish and maintain continuous improvement (2 Second Lean), problem-solving (KATA technique), and Root Cause analysis
- Maintain ISO 9001:2015 departmental standards

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required (Process Engineer or Industrial Engineer preferred)
- 3+ years' experience in the field preferred
- Ability to perform cost/benefit analysis and calculate ROI for projects
- Excellent leadership skills
- Highly motivated and proactive
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Well-organized and adept at multi-tasking
- Analytical, with excellent math skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent computer skills, MS Office and Excel.
Working Conditions (if applicable):
- This is a safety sensitive position. You will be working around and/or operating heavy machinery.
- Working around mechanical parts and vibrations
- Working around some fumes and gases
- Working with some fluids and chemicals
- Working around loud noises
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Ability to climb on, off, and around equipment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time
- Ability to lift item (occasionally very heavy, in excess of 50 pounds)
- Various repetitive motions
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify delays in production and sources of waste, then use technology and engineering principles to refine the system
- Set criteria for quality and speed, then consistently measure manufacturing behaviors and evaluate their success
- Apply innovative systems to improve company workflows
- Adjust production lines and integrate new technology to improve the supply and production chain.
- Train other staff on how to properly incorporate new technology and methods into current production standards
