Franklin Ford is Hiring a Parts Specialist.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30,000 to $35,000 annually

DUTIES: The Automotive Parts Specialist provides first-class service to walk-in customers and telephone traffic. He or she is extremely knowledgeable about automotive products and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements. The Parts Specialist uses a computerized system to identify and locate automotive products within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) and arranges for delivery and installation. In addition to serving walk-in customers, the Specialist provides parts to our internal automotive technicians to support the Service Department. He or she monitors inventory to ensure adequate availability and handles returns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner.
  • Researches accessories/parts information through the Dealer Management System, Dealer Daily and Electronic Parts Catalog, or any other means necessary to obtain the solution
  • Provide parts and/or accessories in a timely fashion
  • Provides clear and accurate information with regard to special-order parts/accessories
  • Ensures deliveries are promptly received and notifies internal or external customers accordingly
  • Maintains storage area in a clean and well-organized fashion
  • Secures warranty parts/accessories, properly tags and sorts them, and promptly returns to source
  • Stays current with changes in technology
  • Understands that our customers are the source of all revenue and should be treated with utmost respect

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Post-secondary automotive training preferred
  • Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Previous experience with automotive parts and accessories
  • Astrong customer service performance record
  • Strong computer and internet skills.
  • Effective oral and written skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
