The Global Associate Director, Oncology and Cytology is responsible for driving market growth and awareness of the Oncology and Cytology portfolios with direct responsibility for global downstream strategy and execution of BD Onclarity™ (inc. BD Onclarity™ Self-Collection) and BD Sure Path™.  In this role, the successful candidate will report to the WW Director Disease States as it relates to overall brand strategy, brand management and communications strategy, with a focus on deep customer insights, impactful value propositions, campaigns and vision to inspire execution that leads to growth.

As this role has responsibility for a BD critical molecular diagnostic platform with high market growth potential, this associate will contribute to strategies for expansion into adjacent markets including ASR Strategy, regional opportunities, business case development and other special projects relating to the IDS strategy.

The Global Associate Director, Oncology and Cytology is responsible for driving market growth and awareness of the Oncology and Cytology portfolios with direct responsibility for global downstream strategy and execution of BD Onclarity™ (inc. BD Onclarity™ Self-Collection) and BD Sure Path™.  In this role, the successful candidate will report to the WW Director Disease States as it relates to overall brand strategy, brand management and communications strategy, with a focus on deep customer insights, impactful value propositions, campaigns and vision to inspire execution that leads to growth.

*Responsibilities:  *

  • Create and lead global strategy and product portfolio to deliver transformative category innovations, identifying and prioritizing key regions for growth.

  • Develops, evolves and owns global bloom brand BD Onclarity™, ensuring worldwide compliance to brand attributes and overall identifiable and cohesive presence.

  • Earns trust and maintains engaging and inspiring relationships with the regional downstream marketing teams, their peers and their leaders. Supporting regional teams to deliver best-in-class marketing tailored to the market and the customer they serve.

  • Leads Global Downstream marketing efforts in developing portfolio campaigns and tactics for Oncology and Cytology platform and provides support and leadership for regional rollout and execution.  Key areas of focus include, brand strategy, playbooks for platform, digital assets, global webinars, global value dossier, objection handlers, “3Whys” and competitive positioning.

  • Reporting against KPIs and ROI of these tactical activities back to the WW Director and other key stakeholders. Making recommendations for improvements proactively

  • Develops regular regional WW brand and platform updates; including segmentation, targeting, messaging, customer personas, value proposition and outlining supporting evidence needs

  • Supports select strategically relevant WW tradeshow positioning and messaging development

  • Leads new launch go-to-market commercial effectiveness, ensuring regions are supported for maximum impact at launch

  • Leads marketing plan and ASR global guidance for the portfolio, creating and setting clear vision, strategies and goals for WW platform success.

  • Develops/maintains a clear understanding of current MDx markets, customers and patients the product serves.

  • Effectively partners and collaborates with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical and Scientific Affairs, Business Development and other functions to ensure appropriate inputs into portfolio and marketing strategy and KOL development.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - written and oral - for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Leadership presence with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others, comfortable with complex and matrixed-team environments.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.

  • Flexibility to travel globally to regions and customer sites at least 20% of the time

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required, preferably within area of focus; Four year scientific, marketing or business degree preferred.  MBA optional.

  • 10+ years of experience in worldwide strategic marketing, global marketing and brand communications with a focus on commercialization excellence, product and portfolio management and brand strategy.
