Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN - TITLE 5, Position Description Number PDT5283000 and is part of the KY USPFO, National Guard. NOTE: Current on-board applicants (AREA 1, Title 5 employees) will retain current tenure and be temporarily promoted or reassigned, all others will be hired with indefinite tenure. Responsibilities As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN - TITLE 5, GS-2005-7, you will manage supply activities to include support of inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging, supply identification systems, property utilization, and other related activities using supply systems. Manage the supply system access requests. Review procurements through the appropriate systems and web sites. Analyze requests to ensure items being ordered are authorized. Coordinate payments to GSA, prime vendor, and local vendors by Government Purchase Card. Develop and apply standards to manager referred transactions. Coordinate with Continental United States (CONUS) supply sources on materials needed to alleviate delays. Validate due-in transactions and research items delayed in shipment. Apply budget controls on selective items and maintain records indicating the necessity for control. Ensure proper types and amounts of supplies are available to support requirements. Review inventory on-hand, requisitioning objective, contingency stocks, and develop courses of action based on these conditions. Develop reports for the Supply Systems Analyst. Coordinate information with program managers and units to assist with formulating budgets. Manage excess supplies and equipment IAW USPFO procedures. Manage the DOD Activity Address File (DODAAF) to include additions, changes, and deletions. Manage stocks assigned to various classes of supply. Process requests for operation rations, including commercial subsistence and commercial meals, request for cash meal payment books and validate cash meal payment book transactions. Reconcile purchase requests for fuel, validate bulk fuel reports, process monthly Voyager credit card reports, issue new Voyager credit cards to unit and process transactions for turn in of expired or damaged Voyager credit cards. Process requests from unit for medical supplies validating all medical supply requests against unit formularies. Process ammunition requests and receipts from depot, ASPs and turn-ins from units. Coordinate with agencies of DOD, DA, NGB, LOGSA, USPFO Warehouse and supported units/activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. May be subject to furlough actions. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. NOTE: A retired member of the Armed Forces may not be appointed to a DOD civilian position within 180 days after retirement, without a TAG approved waiver, in accordance with DoDi 1402.01, Employment of Retired Members of the Armed Forces, dated 09 Sep 2007 and National Guard Appointment for Retired Members of the Armed Forces Memo, dated 18 Jan 2019. Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-05) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of utilizing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to supply management; conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; providing supply operations for storage management in special program areas, maintenance, and/or production shops; performing routine aspects of supply work where assignments include individual case problems related to one of the major areas of supply management, such as inventory management, excess property, storage management, etc. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
