Job Summary:
The Employee Relations Advisor serves as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing employee concerns, workplace issues, and policy questions. This role focuses on resolving routine cases and providing support to managers and employees, ensuring fair and timely outcomes while adhering to company policies and local labor laws. The Advisor collaborates closely with the Employee Relations Manager and Senior Advisors to escalate complex or high-risk cases as needed. This role delivers consistent, high-quality service and supports the overall success of the Employee Relations function.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers seeking guidance on workplace issues, policy questions, or performance management concerns.
Conduct intake and initial assessments of employee relations cases, ensuring accurate documentation and escalation of complex or high-risk cases to Senior Advisors or the Manager as appropriate.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation and application of company policies, escalating nuanced or legally sensitive issues.
Partner with site leadership and HR to facilitate early intervention and resolution of employee concerns, ensuring a fair and professional approach.
Maintain accurate and thorough case documentation in the case management system, adhering to SLAs and data integrity standards.
Coach managers on routine employee relations matters, equipping them to handle workplace situations effectively and fairly.
Assist in the development and continuous improvement of employee relations processes, providing feedback to the team based on recurring trends in cases.
Collaborate on employee relations projects and initiatives, supporting the team in efforts to enhance the employee experience and ensure compliance with policies.
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Experience : 2-5 years of experience in employee relations or HR.
Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, and experience applying HR policies. Demonstrated understanding of employee relations practices, performance improvement processes, and policy interpretation.
Other : Basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work Authorization: Must be Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Location: Individuals based in St. Louis, MO, Kennesaw, GA, or Dayton, OH preferred.
