About the Role

The Private Sector Account Manager works in tandem with a Field Sales Executive onretention activities and developing customer relationships. Using solutionbased selling techniques, the Account Manager will identify customer needs anddemonstrate the full value of the Elsevier suite of products.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting sales representative in a high-paced environment by delivering excellentcustomer service, product presentations and preparing annual reports

  • Negotiating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Maintaining and supporting adoptions of a print/digital portfolio by your customersfollowing implementation

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to higher education and C-suite professionals by providingin-depth product insight, support and guidance relating to the curriculum

  • Tracking contract renewal status, sales pipeline, leads, and sales cycle using Salesforce to achieveterritory quota

  • Managing student portals, customer ordering systems, and renew custom packages incoordination with sales representatives

Requirements

  • Possess prior experience with account management/customer retention/customer engagementexperience in higher education publishing and/or healthcare sales

  • Demonstrate a passion for driving customer satisfaction

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Possess experience with customer engagement and driving customer adoption
