Staples Program Manager, Asset Protection in Framingham, Massachusetts

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage physical security system implementations including access control, intrusion, and video surveillance projects.

  • Partner on design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of physical security technology to secure facilities and protect associate safety. Run pilots as appropriate to assess if new technologies and services are worthy of longer-term investment.

  • Design and manage physical security standards to ensure quality equipment installation and service at competitive pricing. Oversee the entire project process, including the project requirements, financial accountability, purchase order submission, communication throughout the project to internal partners and external vendors, and processing invoices.

  • Work closely with external partners, including vendors and contractors, to communicate project expectations, timelines, deliverables, and professionalism. Utilize existing mechanisms (photo validation, virtual tours, etc.) to regularly review work product to ensure it matches scope and aligns with AP Equipment strategy for all install and service-related projects.

  • Provide instruction and guidance in the development of post orders for all onsite security officer duties performed, to include but not limited to, site access control, static post positions, communication protocols and mobile patrols.

  • Oversee the proactive maintenance and monitoring of alarms, detection devices, and other physical security devices in accordance with established processes and procedures in our corporate office locations; regularly views system for camera clarity and placement and recording efficiency to ensure operating effectiveness.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple large-scale physical security projects with an emphasis on physical security strategy, technology design, processes, and operations.

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, training, and reporting.

  • Strong business and interpersonal skills. The ability to analyze, understand, and explain the value proposition of security initiatives to the field leadership team.

  • Self-starter with ability to produce under little supervision.

What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree

  • 3+ years project management experience

  • 2+ years Loss Prevention/Asset Protection experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification preferred.

  • LPC/LPQ preferred.

  • Genetec certification or administrative knowledge of the Genetec platform preferred.
