Reference #: 4488734 THE POSITION The Frackville State Correctional Institution (SCI) Department of Corrections is currently on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual who possesses the necessary qualifications and experience to take on the role of a Corrections Food Service Instructor. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Department of Corrections is currently seeking individuals with the necessary experience to join their team as a lead worker in a unique position. In this role, you will be responsible for assigning tasks to inmates, overseeing their work in various areas such as preparation, production, service, and baking. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations. As part of your duties, you will also conduct regular inspections of food service areas, equipment, and food to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are TBD- Rotating Shifts, Sunday - Saturday. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes). Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
