10781 - Sr. System Engineer – Windows

Location – Fountain Valley, CA

Purpose:

The Sr. System Engineer is responsible for ensuring Windows servers meet availability requirements and contracted service levels. The person is responsible for maintaining and implementing enhancements for the whole Windows environment. The person is also responsible for managing vendor technical performance, prioritizing customer business requests, managing projects schedules and budgets.

Essential Functions:

• Install, configure, and maintain the organization's Windows environment (SW and HW).

• Maintain operations efficiency and stability

• Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data

• Act as SME for Windows systems

• Develop and maintain SOPs, diagrams, other related documentation and requirement

• Monitor vendor service performance via KPIs, SLAs, SLOs in accordance with contrac

• Support project planning, architecture and implementation as required

• Ensure certificates and licenses are up-to-date and installed on products and devices

• Ensure security patches and configuration are adhered to company standards

• Conduct Windows servers performance optimization

• Support in Disaster Recovery planning and execution

• Actively participate in Incident Mgmt and Problem Mgmt (e.g. RCA) processes

• Maintain Change Mgmt compliance

• Track server assets, allocation, software licenses and service agreements

• Conduct in-depth assessments and analysis of the current environment and recommend improvements.

  Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in IT/IS desired or 8+ years relevant work experience in related functional role

• Microsoft Certification: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator is desired

• VMware Certified Professional is desired

• Experience in software installation and new product installs

• Experience with VMware, Storage, Network

• Experience in managing service provider and vendors, deliverables and KPI results

• Experience with managing large-scale environments

• Experience with continuous improvements to operational processes and tools

• Knowledge in Cloud environment architecture is a plus

• ITIL v3 or higher is a plus

• Knowledge in ServiceNow or other related ITSM ticketing tools

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks / Projects in a fast-paced environment. \

• Highly motivated with a desire to improve skills, processes and procedures.

  Salary Range - $98,060  - $151,008
