*SUMMARY: *The purpose of this position is to oversee the packing and loading operations of the P&L department, and produce safe, high quality products. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.

PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: Works shift as assigned and overtime as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. *
- Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
- Responsible for the selection and training of all department personnel.
- Schedules packing production to align with sales demand.
- Maintains inventory of all packaging and safety supplies.
- Supervises the day to day activities of the packing operation.
- Supervises the loading of trucks and all rail loading and unloading operations; maintains inspection reports and bill of ladings for rail flour.
- Inspects, documents, and unloads all incoming ingredients.
- Supervises and maintains sanitation and pest management programs for the warehouse.
- Maintains documentation to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and audits.
- Coordinates calibration schedules and completes verification.
- Represents the department on facility's HACCP and Safety Sanitation teams.
- Responsible to cover for the P&L Operator (Technician) in their absence.
Other duties may be assigned.
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: *This position supervises and leads all P&L operations personnel to perform duties and responsibilities at their fullest capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: *The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. *
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a food production environment.
- Ability to pass a Qualitative Respirator Fit Test and perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job while wearing a respirator.
- Must possess excellent leadership skills.
- Must have solid communication skills and be able to interact and productively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Must possess the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Must receive confined space training and certification.
- Must be certified to operate a forklift.
CDL is preferred but not required.
*LANGUAGE SKILLS: *Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
