Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Fort Worth, Texas

Description We are seeking a Tax Manager based in Fort Worth, Texas, who will primarily function in the public sector. The role is an exciting opportunity that involves the preparation and review of federal and multi-state income tax returns, tax planning and research, and providing high-quality client service. The role also necessitates effective teamwork and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations

• Conduct tax planning and research to stay ahead of tax regulations and policies

• Work efficiently as part of a team to complete projects and assigned tasks within set deadlines

• Train and mentor staff to foster a conducive learning environment and improve team skills

• Deliver timely, high-quality client service that consistently meets or exceeds client and firm expectations

• Continually further your knowledge and skills through continuing education and ongoing detail oriented development

• Interact with clients and provide tailored tax advice to suit individual needs

• Utilize various accounting software systems including ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Comply with accounting functions, auditing, and entity formation

• Apply knowledge of income tax accounting to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Ability to handle Accounting Functions • Proficiency in Auditing • Strong understanding of Compliance laws and regulations • Experience with Entity Formation • Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting • Must be able to carry out tasks without any form of discrimination • Must not have any form of criminal record or pending criminal case • Must be authorized to work in the country of employment • Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written • Must have strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and within a team • Strong problem-solving skills • Must have a detail oriented demeanor and a positive attitude • Must be able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
