Lockheed Martin Software Architect Senior Staff - Level 5 in Fort Worth, Texas

Description:

You will be the Software Architect Senior Staff for the Integrated Maintenance Information Systems (IMIS) team. Our team develops applications that support the maintenance of the F-22 aircraft.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Architect Senior Staff your primary focus will be providing technical support and expertise to our F-22 IMIS development team. Collaborating with software engineers, you will be responsible for planning, designing, creating, and maintaining the overall structure of our software system, while ensuring that requirements are met. Our ideal candidate will be highly skilled in information technology and equipped with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities. Fluency in multiple program languages is a must, along with significant knowledge of subjects such as database design, enterprise product solutions, and industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and designing the software architecture for projects, including selection appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns

• Participating in Program Increment (PI) Planning, System and Solution Demos

• Working with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish solution intent, and the solution intent information models, and document the PRD level requirements

• Ensuring that the software system is scalable, maintainable, and secure

• Providing technical leadership and guidance to software development teams

• Evaluating and selecting third-party tools and libraries

• Creating and maintaining documentation for the software architecture

• Identifying and addressing any technical risks or challenges

• Ensuring that the software architecture adheres to industry best practices and standards

• Defining CSCIs, subsystems, and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, and communicate high level SRS requirements to product teams

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance with an Interim Secret to start. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Software Architect or software lead designing and developing complex software applications experience

• Programming languages experience in Java, Python, C++ or C#

• Software development experience, including hands-on experience with various programming languages, frameworks, and tools

• Software architecture principles, patterns, and best practices knowledge

• Agile and DevOps experience

Desired Skills:

• Proven experience applying the Software Development Lifecycle process with Agile or DevOps methodologies.

• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.

• Experience with cloud-based architectures, Event-Driven Architectures, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) .

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong Leadership and mentoring abilities to guide teams towards achieving architectural goals.

• Proficient in estimating effort, time, and resources required for software development projects.

• Ability to create project schedules based on requirements and historical data. Experienced in balancing scope, time, and cost constraints.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
