Lockheed Martin Research Scientist Staff in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company F-35 program seeks an experienced and motivated candidate to join the F-35 Supportable Low Observable (SLO) Team. This position will be located at Woensdrecht Air Base, Netherlands supporting the Netherlands National Air Vehicle Depot.

What You Will Be Doing

The candidate will be required to prioritize multiple projects and initiatives in a complex environment to ensure program activities are well coordinated and executed. An ability to explain complex technical concepts in a readily comprehensible manner is necessary. The candidate will be required to exhibit effective and clear communications skills at all levels. The candidate will be required to understand the military service joint operations and structure. Timely communication of project status and emerging issues to peers and management is critical.

Primary Responsibilities:

• SLO and signature management SME for sustainment

• Low Observable Health Assessment System (LOHAS)

• LO Verification assessment and understanding of different RCS measurement tiers

• Lead SLO projects from initialization through to implementation

• Prepare and submit basis of estimates to support recurring and pop-up contracts

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

-Knowledge of F-35 Supportable LO concepts and operations, including the LO Health Assessment System (LOHAS) and Repair Verification Equipment (RVE).

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of VAS, PDM, Computer Aided Design (CAD), CATIA V5, Matlab, Compuquest, relational data bases, QADS, CRM, Excel

Experience with rapid prototyping methods.

Previous experience in low observables (LO), survivability, or susceptibility

Project or program management, and execution of signature technology

Experience with proposal development and new business pursuits

Experience in radar cross section (RCS) design, Low Observable (LO) materials and processes, LOHAS, LO verification

Knowledge of the F-35 airframe design and coating materials and methods Project or program management, and execution of signature technology

Experience collaborating across multi-disciplined engineering and sustainment teams

Excellent information organization skills

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Aircraft structures experience highly desired

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
