responsibilities:

  • The individual will need to have a background in analytical chemistry and experience working in an analytical lab. It is preferred to have experience with common bench chemistry techniques such as preparation of reagent and buffers, titration, auto-titration, pipetting, etc.. Experience with chromatographic separation (HPLC, GC) and/or metrological instrumentation is a plus.

  • The individual will need to follow established procedures, protocols, or best practices to analyze development samples for medical device projects.

  • Perform assigned tasks under minimal supervision in support of approved projects and documents.

  • They will be required to execute a well-designed study, conducts testing and analyzes data without deviation following established procedures under general supervision.

  • Applies general technical skills to complete assigned work and solves routine problems of limited scope.

  • Thoroughly and clearly documents experiments in laboratory notebook per Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and assists in preparation of Technical Documents; may provide assistance in the design of next experiment.

  • Communicates and collaborates with colleagues within functional sub-team, and with supervisor and/or senior staff. Receives technical guidance from senior staff.

  • General upkeep of laboratory, including equipment/ instrumentation.

  • Revise procedures and technical reports as needed.

qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

  • BS degree or equivalent years of directly related experience

  • In Preferred Section:

  • BS degree in scientific discipline; Chemistry preferred
