Registered Vascular Technologist

Texas Health Physicians Group is looking for top skilled Registered Vascular Technologist. Is that you?


Work location: Texas Health Vascular Surgery Fort Worth, 1325 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth TX 76104

Work hours: Full Time Days (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

Education

· Associate Degree in related field (Preferred)

· Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (Preferred)

Experience

· 1 year related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (Required)

Certifications

· RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist (Required) Or

· Other Registered Vascular Sonographer (Required)

Skills

· Must possess an excellent working knowledge of medical terminology to describe the extent of vascular disease

· Working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature

· Excellent communication skills

· Good computer skills

· Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

What You Will Do

  • Performs diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines

  • Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation. Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database

  • Reviews test results with interpreting physician
