Position Summary
We are hiring for an excellent Project Planning Analyst Associate to join our Transmission Engineering team. This person will be responsible for analyzing budgets, preparing reports on material for capital Transmission projects, and performing various project-related tasks outlined below. Our Transmission Engineering team is accountable for planning, organizing, directing, and managing the engineering design, requisitioning of material and equipment, land, and construction support of transmission lines, switching stations, and load-serving substation facilities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Directly, or through others, the incumbent will:
Provide analytical and administrative support to Transmission Engineering
Prepare and initiate Work Authorization approval routing and assignment of proper budgetary accounting
Proactively monitor Transmission Engineering projects to provide material updates
Assist with developing internal controls and establish processes that enhance visibility and improve accuracy in material data
Assist with preparing and analyzing project data within assigned programs as required - PETE, FIM, Maximo, ProjectWise
Proactively monitor project data to identify/resolve schedule and material delivery variances
Prepare material reports for Transmission capital projects at various category, project, and organizational levels
Utilize analysis tools to translate large quantities of data into actionable information suitable for use by various work groups
Provide documentation necessary for SOX control and audit requests
Work with suppliers to proactively prioritize material delivery
Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Education
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
Experience, & Skills
Ability to analyze, manage and create various capital reports and summaries.
Able to set priorities without having full project requirements known
Effective analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
Capable of working with people of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with FIM, PETE, Reporting systems, and Maximo programs is preferred
Travel:
