Robert Half Procurement Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in Fort Worth, TX. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in our procurement team, focusing on developing comprehensive strategic programs that address various business needs such as pricing acquisition, total cost, lead-time, and supply. The role also involves managing contracts and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategic programs that meet the needs of internal stakeholders.

• Manage business transactions with both internal and external organizations.

• Create and manage strategies, negotiations, RFPs, and contracts.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs, objectives, product/service requirements, and broader operational processes.

• Maintain effective communication with management levels both internally and externally.

• Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest constructive changes.

• Assist with the Training program for the Procurement Supply Chain team as necessary.

• Assist with the Supplier Diversity program as necessary.

• Implement and manage long-term contracts while promoting strategic partnerships with suppliers.

• Ensure effective development and promotion of strategic partnerships with suppliers.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience.

  • Demonstrable skills for category management, commercial negotiations, cost avoidance, and executing complex deals in a fast-changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years related work experience.

  • Knowledge of Source to Pay systems.

  • Strong project management skills and Process Mapping abilities.

  • Experience with Supplier Risk Analysis and Supplier Relationship Management.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks with exhibited follow through and initiative.

  • Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, project management, early supplier involvement, total cost management and financial analysis
