Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Under the supervision of the Administrative Director of Clinical Operations, the Manager of Clinical Operations has accountability and is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the hospital.

  • Acts as an administrative officer of the facility and performs his/her job functions in a manner consistent with the Texas Board of Nursing and in accordance with the hospital’s goals, objectives, policies/procedures and mission.

  • Coordinates and monitors patient care processes after hours and weekends to ensure quality patient care.

  • Engages in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.

  • Participates as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues.

  • Uses job knowledge and proficiency of skills to successfully assist in orientation of new employees

  • Identifies and assists with opportunities for performance improvement activities on the unit and with other service areas.

What qualifications you will need:

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.

  • 2 years minimum of Charge Nurse or supervisory management experience required.

  • 2 years minimum of recent clinical practice required.

Licensure, Certifications, Training:

  • Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of Residence required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Medical City Fort Worth is a 350+ bed full-service Magnet Designated hospital. It is located in the heart of the medical district.
