Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director, the EVS Manager performs daily operation and staffing support functions for the Environmental Services department.

  • This support includes preparing QA reports, daily linen usage, PI reporting, preparing work orders, staff scheduling, completion of payroll information, ordering supplies, completion of staff performance appraisals and competencies, coordination and preparation of reports and records, managing operation functions, proper staff training and education, participation in employee safety committee, and following the code of conduct in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

  • Demonstrates ability to maintain strong working relationship with vendors, provides direct leadership through quality care and customer service attributes.

  • ​Coordinates and prepares reports and records (i.e. work orders), daily linen usage reports, and supply ordering. Ensures accuracy of all quality assurance reports and monthly performance improvement reports.

  • Manages Tex Trax, Tele Tracking operating systems and the Tele Tracking Bed Management operating system to monitor the turn around times for beds.

  • ​Provides consistent quality correspondence and accurate documentation for specified departments.

  • ​Performs staff support functions, maintains proper scheduling in adherence to budget, participation in employee safety committee, and assisting in training, education and completing annual competencies and evaluations.

  • ​Accepts accountability and responsibility for maintaining payroll, records, literature, employee files, updating policies/procedures, vendor relationships, and providing strong customer service.

  • ​Demonstrates competency in computer literacy and problem solving.

  • ​Follows patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field ​​preferred​.

  • ​2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
