Ryder System Manager Logistics in Fort Worth, Texas

Summary

The Manager Logistics is responsible to manage all activities associated with the efficient operation of accounts. This position is responsible for hosting network bids for Ryder Procured clients. Candidates will work as the technical and strategical liaison between carrier pricing submissions and client requirements/expectations. Daily duties are project based.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine their needs and expectations and operate the account to meet those demands.

  • Collaboration with internal and external teams

  • Gathering, scrubbing and organizing data for distribution in RFP

  • Intake of carrier responses and generation of award scenarios based on internal and external requirements

  • Presentations before, during and after events, both internally and externally

  • Intake of client data, interpreting and designing it for carriers to price.

  • Assisting carriers with the online bid portal, ensuring meaningful participation.

  • Interpretation and analysis of pricing received. Building a suggested end-product for client approval.

  • Presenting and articulating the solution to clients for final approval.

  • The candidate will collaborate across many teams within the Ryder ecosystem, working independently and collaboratively.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Maintaining data of past events

  • Assisting procurement team in ad-hoc analysis

  • Depending on skill level, building out automation processes for new initiatives

  • This role may require occasional travel to client presentations, usually scheduled well in advance.

  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills needed

  • Working knowledge of creating Power BI reports is desired

  • Candidates will need an analytical mindset, the ability to navigate large datasets efficiently, and confidence to present findings.

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred

  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required

  • Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports required

  • Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations. advanced required

  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements. advanced required

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc.

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type :

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

$70000

Maximum Pay Range:

$80000

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
