Human Resource Manager

Fort Worth, TX (Corporate Office) - Hybrid position

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000/yr

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Human Resource Manager will be capable of running the daily functions of the Human Resource department. Provide guidance to our plant locations and corporate office in the areas of hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, legal terminations, and enforcing company policies and practices. It is expected that this position will become the Director of Human Resources in approximately 18 months.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Reviews and reports on the company training programs. Documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and continuing education. This includes providing direction to plant level administrators regarding safety training, anti-harassment training, management training programs, and certifications.

  • Collaborates with departmental managers and our in-house recruiter to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Have a complete understanding of the recruiting process and assist in facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Runs the onboarding of newly hired management and corporate staff.

  • Administrates the employee recognition programs, e-communication presentations, and the company social media platform.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

  • Ability to quickly learn the company’s HRIS and talent management systems.

  • Proven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.

  • Bi-lingual Spanish and English is desired, but not required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or HRCI PHR and/or SHRM-CP.

  • At least five (5) years of human resource management experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Must have the ability to travel to the company plant locations, on occasion (if necessary).
