TexasBank Fraud Prevention Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas
SUMMARY:
The Fraud Prevention Specialist is responsible for monitoring and analyzing a broad range of customer financial data to identify any fraudulent and suspicious activities. This role is responsible for investigating suspicious activity and determining if there is any risk to the bank or its customers.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Analyze data to identify potential fraud patterns and trends to investigate suspicious transactions and activity.
Track and action cases, including those submitted to FraudWatch, within required timeframes as determined by regulatory guidelines and internal requirements.
Log and track check and ACH fraud/forgery claims processed by Bookkeeping.
Log and track breach warranty claims.
Working with the Account Officer, determine the best course of action for compromised accounts and recommend options to client to restore account integrity and resolve fraudulent activity. Ensure all steps are followed to completion.
Review daily and periodic transaction and account reports to identify potentially fraudulent activity.
Monitor internet banking activities such as enrollments and limit changes to identify red flags or suspicious patterns.
Conduct response efforts to fraud anomaly alerts from internet banking platforms.
Resolve findings through independent research as well as direct interaction with internal and external customers.
Periodically report findings, results, and trend analysis of all monitored activity to management.
Provide periodic scheduled and ad hoc reports, presentations, and best practice guidance to internal and external customers on fraud threats and mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop fraud prevention strategies.
Provide backup for lobby services in the Brownwood branch, as needed.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
