Job Title: Electrical Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanical Assembler to perform complex electrical assembly in a fast-paced defense manufacturing environment. You will work at various workstations as production needs require, and shift from one station to another during the assembly process.

Responsibilities

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes.

  • Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and other production-related documentation.

  • Strip, crimp, and solder wires, connectors, and cable assemblies.

  • Use power tools, drills, and other related equipment.

  • Utilize common inspection tools such as calipers and voltmeters.

  • Perform machine setup and operate machines as needed.

  • Adhere to Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines, and workplace safety regulations.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • Experience using voltmeters, power tools, and hand tools.

  • Proficiency in electrical and mechanical assembly, including panel building and PCB board assembly.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Soldering and crimping expertise.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with cable or wire harness assembly.

  • General safety and quality control knowledge, including ISO 9001 standards.

  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Previous training in soldering, drawing/schematics, mechanical/electrical assembly (on-the-job training acceptable).

  • Ability to speak and understand English.

  • Preferred but not required: Certification with J-STD-001 Soldering Specification or equivalent training/in-house certifications.

  • Preferred but not required: Certification with IPC 610 and 620 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies or equivalent training/in-house certifications.

Work Environment

Climate-controlled, well-lit assembly room. Each person has their own workstation and tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00
