Actalent Drafter/Detailer in Fort Worth, Texas

Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

In this role, you will be assisting with planning and preparing non-routine drawings with complex features, using information gathered from rough sketches, detailed engineering notes, or brief verbal guidance. You will work on various substation projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients. The position requires you to participate in a full range of drawing production work, from producing project deliverables in an efficient and budget-conscious manner to maintaining high CAD proficiency and mastery of current CAD systems. Your responsibilities will also include training, mentoring, and developing staff, managing resources, identifying priority tasks, and executing action plans. You will be required to maintain records of client or company CAD standards and participate in the QA/QC process.

Hard Skills

  • AutoCAD

  • 1-2 years drafting experience

  • Utilities experience (oil and gas or architecture experience transferrable)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Fort Worth, Texas.

Work Environment

You will be working in an open office environment and will receive every other Friday off (9/80 work schedule).
