Lockheed Martin Director of Engineering - Architecture, Design, Integration & Test in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: The position of Director, Architecture, Design, Integration & Test (ADI&T) for the Combat Systems organization will report to the Engineering & Technology Combat Systems Vice President. This position is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The successful candidate will lead the Combat Systems AD&IT Team through all phases of definition, development, delivery, and sustainment of all combat systems across the enterprise. Products include architectures, combat systems design, and integration and test elements for all Aeronautics platforms.

In this role you will be responsible for:

•Ensures the successful execution of the architecture design, combat systems design, allocation of requirements to hardware/software elements and conduct of integration of test for all platforms

•Drives the integration, verification, and validation of complex systems to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and performance

•Collaborates with business area leaders and cross-function product teams to achieve seamless integration and alignment of goals

•Effective management of internal development efforts, external supplier relationships and strategically aligned buy vs build technology decisions

•Oversees workforce planning and includes staffing, recruitment strategies, and determining talent management planning to place the right people with right skills in the right position.

•Defines standard work to ensure compliance to technical, cyber security, safety and flight clearance requirements in delivery of products to program and government customers

•Manage and report cost, schedule, and technical earned value performance for the AD&IT team to internal and customer reviews to include optimizing team performance and project outcomes

•Champions and enables continuous improvement initiatives to enhance architecture, design, testing methodology, tools, and processes

•Ensures availability of resources to the Program to meet program cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

•Consistently mentors, coaches, and provides training and development to team members, driving engineering discipline and process excellence

•Incorporates proven corporate practices while aggressively migrating the team and associated suppliers to modern industry standards to augment program execution

•Contributes and engages in 1LMX Combat Systems road mapping and strategy to include areas like reuse, virtualization and automation.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must hold a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

• Demonstrated technical and people leadership experience including leading diverse and dynamic multi-discipline engineering teams

• Demonstrated Mission Systems experience

• Experience in technical leadership, systems design development, and integration & test with multi-discipline engineering teams

• Demonstrated corrective action and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years relevant experience

•Program Management - Broad based experience: managing large performance efforts delivering cost, schedule, and financial outcomes.

•Experience working with US Services and International Customers

•Experience with DevSecOps development methodology and agile metrics

•Cultural Catalyst - Demonstrated ability to manage and change culture within a large organization that results in improved performance

•Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience engaging and presenting in executive level meetings

•Ability to obtain Special Program Access

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
