Description

Management Resources is seeking an Interim Controller for a 4 month contract with potential to extend. Located south of the DFW Airport this is 100% onsite . The role is within the retail industry and includes monitoring accounting activities, identifying financial risks, and implementing action plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial forecasts, and ensuring transactions comply with both GAAP and internal company policies.

Key duties for the Interim Controller

· Maintain full-cycle accounting processes and management

· Month end close, financial reporting, journal entries, variance analysis, monthly forecasts, inventory accounting and annual budgets

· Develop and manage a rolling forecast, manage KPIs

· Provides information to external auditors for the annual audit

· Vendor management

Requirements

· BS in Accounting or Finance

· CPA, preferred, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education

· Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting, assistant controller, or financial management role

· Inventory accounting experience
