AUI Partners Construction Manager/Senior Project Manager (Renewable Energy) in Fort Worth, Texas

We are seeking a Construction Manager in Renewable Energy who is ready to take on a new challenge and continue their leadership journey with AUI. The primary role of the Renewable Energy Construction Manager is to provide leadership to the Renewable Energy Construction Department in the critical areas of Safety, Quality, Costs, and Production Scheduling.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the scheduling of all assigned Projects to maximize cash flow and ensure on-time completion

Align and lead Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineer within assigned projects

Oversee overall direction and management of assigned projects and support the ongoing development, implementation, and management

Continually improve and ensure quality control of project work

Participate and assist in Owner and Subcontractor Contract negotiations

Coordinate project engineering, permitting timing expectations, major material specifications, availability, and delivery timing with Pre-Construction

In conjunction with Project Managers, review and approve Construction Schedules

In conjunction with Project Managers, Review project buyout for scope coverage, proper subcontractor, and budget obtainment

In conjunction with the Pre-Construction team, manage complete project takeoffs including production rates, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracted work.

Manage timely and accurate cost forecasting and reporting to VPO & Executive Team monthly

Oversee and assist in the management of mitigating and resolving potential claims

Monitor QA/QC Results and provide immediate attention when there are issues

Review Potential Change Orders and Change Orders for accuracy

In conjunction with senior leadership, minimize and manage warranty claims and any associated remediation work

Ensure completion of all commissioning and closeout activities including required closeout documentation, performance testing, and owner closeout documentation

Perform monthly project budget reviews against sold budget, construction budget, and historical costs on similar projects. Provide budget performance updates as needed or requested

Develop and maintain monthly Revenue, Cash Flow, and Burn off projections.

Oversee and review the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's safety program

Develop, maintain, and communicate policies, procedures, and processes that help prevent problems from occurring

Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of Project Managers, General Superintendents, Superintendents, and Project Engineers

A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience directing and managing construction activities at a middle or senior management level. Experience in commercial solar construction is a significant plus

A Bachelors’ degree in Construction Management or a related degree, or equivalent work experience

Proven knowledge of construction procedures, codes, estimating, safety and scheduling best practice

Ability to manage multiple sites and personnel simultaneously.

Time-management and organization skills

Excellent people management and leadership skills

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Ability to understand blueprints and contracts

Solid analytical skills to interpret data

Outstanding decision-making skills

Strong communication skills internally and externally
