SUMMARY:
A Branch Manager is responsible for the planning and organization of daily operational activities as assigned to the branch, including servicing accounts, cashiering and customer relations to maintain a high quality of service and operational efficiency.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the implementation of operational and retail functions within the bank.
- Oversee and manage all lobby employees.
- Work in conjunction with Human Resources on recruitment and hiring candidates for openings.
- Execute job assignments, performance appraisals, salary recommendations, counseling, disciplinary actions, and terminations in coordination with Senior Management and Human Resources.
- Ensure optimal scheduling of personnel to achieve efficient staff utilization and adequate customer service coverage.
- Proactively recommend products to both existing and new customers as opportunities arise.
- Manage operational and retail functions across additional locations within the market area.
- Organize and provide training on operational procedures and bank policies; conduct regular staff meetings to ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
- Engage with customers to sustain and enhance existing relationships and address any issues or concerns.
- Represent the bank in business development initiatives and at civic and community events.
- Facilitate effective communication between the branch and senior management.
- Implement and uphold security measures to safeguard against criminal or fraudulent activities and mitigate risks.
- Review and authorize transactions requiring overrides.
- Prepare and review loan documentation.
- Serve as a paying/receiving teller and Personal Banker as needed.
- Adhere strictly to the Bank Secrecy Act and all relevant regulations.
- Possess and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the banks products, programs, and services to effectively train and motivate staff in their promotion and sale.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
