What You Will Be Doing

•Train employees in installation, operational checkout, troubleshooting, quality inspection, and maintenance of aircraft systems (fuel, hydraulics, landing gear, propulsion).

•Instruct and promote programs like Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Clean As You Go (CAYG), Tool Control, hazardous chemical handling/disposal, and safety.

•Execute lesson plans using established training systems, providing classroom and practical instruction for safe aircraft maintenance, repair, and operation.

•Identify training needs based on current and future operating requirements and develop corresponding programs.

•Maintain company-wide training programs and certification/qualification records.

•Prepare classrooms, maintain training aids, ensure student safety, conduct practical activities, grade tests/projects, and evaluate student performance to ensure workforce proficiency.

•Collaborate with Final Assembly and Flight-line Operations to determine training needs, develop course materials, and evaluate programs.

•Ability to Travel, including extended periods outside the Continental United States.

Subjects include component installation/removal, testing, analysis, rework, adjustment, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems in all ground operations, manufacturing, and final assembly. Training occurs in classrooms, on the flight-line, or at offsite locations supporting production, field operations, or international customers.

•Subject Matter Expert in technical training and audiovisual techniques, including courseware maintenance.

•Proven experience and comprehensive knowledge of F-35 aircraft systems and quality inspection in an instructor role.

•Skilled in writing, editing, and producing technical instruction materials.

You may also provide technical expertise to engineering and production teams to meet contract requirements, including DCMA 8210, Corrective Action Plan (CAP) actions, Aero Code changes, and Training Action Working Group evaluations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Professional experience maintaining/assembling F-35 fighter aircraft

• Flight-Line Operations experience including launch, recovery, inspection, maintenance, &/or maintenance documentation (preferably fighter aircraft but others are acceptable).

• Experience using standard shop tools utilizing appropriate tool control processes

• Computer and audio/visual equipment skills with focus on Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, & PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

• Minimum 6 years professional experience maintaining/assembling F-35 fighter aircraft

• Minimum 3 years Flight-Line Operations experience including launch, recovery, inspection, maintenance, &/or maintenance documentation (preferably fighter aircraft but others are acceptable).

• Effective written and verbal communicator with focus on public speaking ability

• Experience as a formal classroom instructor, preferably in a technical field

• Aircraft quality inspection experience to include post task inspection, use of inspection tools such as micrometers, depth gauges, bore-scope etc.

• Understanding of installation, operational checkout, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft systems including fuel systems, hydraulics and landing gear, flight controls, electrical systems, and propulsion systems at the Crew Chief (equivalent or higher) and/or aircraft final assembly levels

• Ability to read and interpret aircraft assembly drawings

• DOMMS, ALIS, SFM, JTD experience

• Experience working, or ability and desire to work with, different cultures

• Degree in related field

• Security clearance desired but not required, ability to get and maintain a clearance a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
