We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Student Housing HVAC Technician (35369) in our Student Housing department.

This position performs preventative and repair maintenance on all student housing HVAC systems.

The pay for this position is $25.00-$30.00/hr.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspection and maintenance of heating and cooling systems.

Respond to daily work orders and perform preventive maintenance.

Inspect, troubleshoot, replace and repair HVAC equipment when necessary.

Make recommendations and purchases necessary for system or equipment repairs.

Assist Student Housing Maintenance Technicians when additional support is needed.

Required Qualifications:

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.

3 years of HVAC experience.

1 year commercial HVAC experience that includes: including air handling, mini split systems, VAV boxes, VRF systems, DDC controls, fume hoods, and other commercial HVAC systems.

Extensive knowledge of electric heat pumps is a must.

Familiarity with performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of all refrigeration, heating or cooling equipment.

Able to perform recordkeeping in compliance with regulatory standards.

Able to read blueprints, schematics, or manufacturer guidelines.

Must have a valid drivers license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.
