Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:
We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, Student Housing HVAC Technician in our Student Housing department.
This position performs preventative and repair maintenance on all student housing HVAC systems.
The pay for this position is $25.00/hr.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspection and maintenance of heating and cooling systems.
- Respond to daily work orders and perform preventive maintenance.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, replace and repair HVAC equipment when necessary.
- Make recommendations and purchases necessary for system or equipment repairs.
- Assist Student Housing Maintenance Technicians when additional support is needed.
Required Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED equivalent.

``` - 3 years of HVAC experience. - 1 year commercial HVAC experience that includes: including air handling, mini split systems, VAV boxes, VRF systems, DDC controls, fume hoods, and other commercial HVAC systems. - Familiarity with performing installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of all refrigeration, heating or cooling equipment. - Able to perform recordkeeping in compliance with regulatory standards. - Able to read blueprints, schematics, or manufacturer guidelines. - Must have a valid drivers license and remain in compliance with the Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy.
