Aerotek Service Technician in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

Our full-service shop specializes in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing air compressors and industrial cranes and hoists for various manufacturing companies. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for visiting 2-3 customers per day, performing maintenance inspections, and addressing troubleshooting/repair tasks. Typical repairs involve electrical issues (3 phase issues up to 480Vs, mainly 110V) and pneumatic issues. You will also need to document all repairs performed.

You will spend 20% of your time in the shop and 80% at customer locations. Initially, you will not be on-call, allowing time for training and familiarization with our procedures. After a few months, you will be included in the on-call routing schedule and provided with a company vehicle. Occasionally, you may be required to support other locations, which might involve overnight stays. This is not the norm but can happen.

PPE - Steel Toed Boots required. No certifications or medical requirements.

This is a fully on-site position in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Work Environment

This is a professional culture. Since the Service Technician will be the face of the company while on service calls, they must effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service to clients. The shop is climate-controlled and well-lit. Company uniforms and a vehicle will be provided once you have established yourself. Typical hours are 7 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Overtime varies based on client needs.
