[Job Title: HR Coordinator *[(33672) *[Join Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW): [PFW is located in Fort Wayne, IN; We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site, *HR Coordinator in our Human Resources Department. [The person in this position will mainly support the Talent Acquisition and Payroll functions but will support other functions of Human Resources as needed. Pay for this position is $14.00- $16.95/hr.   • Conduct background screening on all new hires, including internal transfers that have not had a background screening within the past 12 months, students, employees and non-paid appointments.

``` - Conduct misconduct screenings on new hires as required, including completing checks as requested for current or past employees from other employers.

``` - Conduct violent and sex offender registry checks as needed if not included with third party vendor employee background checks. - Move candidates within the applicant tracking system as a part of the background screening process. - Obtain appropriate consent forms for screenings. - Track progress of screenings and ensure all components are completed in a timely manner. - Document completion of screenings for audit purposes. - Work with third party vendor to ensure completion of background checks. - Communicate with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, and candidates on the status of screenings. - Conduct Motor Vehicle Records checks in accordance with Purdue policy and in collaboration with Purdue Risk Management. - Track volunteers and any applicable paperwork.

Audit and process overload/extra duty requests, making entries in the payroll system.

Make deduction entries in payroll system for parking passes.

Process fee remission requests, certifying employee status.

Audit reappointment entries in payroll system for Spring and Fall semester.

Maintain Technology Allowances deduction file and make entries in payroll system.

Audit daily "Students and Temps with Duration Timekeeping" report, making corrections to employee time profiles when needed.
