Summary
The Employer Health Clinic Supervisor-MA is responsible for the organization, implementation, development and physician alignment necessary to provide world class patient services in assigned clinic(s). Is responsible for the organization, and supervision of clinic nurses, medical assistants and other support staff. Is proficient in the overall understanding of patient flow as well as clinical workflows. Is responsible for the department preceptor and onboarding process. Assists the operations manager(s) in providing transformational leadership involving employer services that produce a culture of high-performance and continuous process quality improvement with a focus on hospitality, innovation, technology, and delivery of patient focused care and customer satisfaction.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements; or must have completed an LPN program.
Licensure/Certification
Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA); or be a licensed LPN. CPR required.
Experience
3 years experience in a physician office setting or related field; supervisory experience preferred. Electronic medical record experience preferred. Staff scheduling experience preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical operations, service excellence, clinical quality and education initiatives. Must be familiar with computers.
