Summary/Objective The Technology Specialist position is a key role involving the installation and ongoing maintenance support of customer’s computer networks, computers, VOIP telephone systems, servers, firewalls, and networks. Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1.Testing UTP/RJ 45 Ethernet cabling.2.Perform onsite/remote backups, testing and upgrades/firmware of various operating systems, platforms and peripheral devices 3.NAS installation and repair4.VOIP telephone system installation5.VOIP telephone system troubleshooting, maintenance and repair6.Technology support of iOS and Android devices7.Technology support for Windows NOS & desktop operating systems8.Installation and repair Ethernet switches and WatchGuard firewalls9.Installation and repair of sensors while on ladders10. Support Microsoft 365 and Hosted Software as a Service11. Support hardware installation and maintenance of copiers, laptops, desktops, monitors and other peripheral devices. 12.Other duties as assignedCompetencies1.Thoroughness.2.Technical Capacity.3.Learning Orientation.4.Problem Solving/Analysis.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work EnvironmentThis position mainly operates in office, data center, job sites, and computer room environments.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, bend and walk. Hand and fine motor skills for computer work, This position may require occasional lifting of 30 lbs or more.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility needed based on customer demands.TravelTravel to customer/prospect sites on a regular basis as needed.
