Role reports to: Technical Operations Principal Engineer, Package Development
Location: Fort Washington, PA
Travel %: Domestic up to 10%
Pay: Anticipated hourly pay for this role ($22.75 - $29.00) depending on skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors
What you will do
The Tech Ops Package Development Co-Op provides each student with real-life hands-on experience, coaching and
mentoring, networking opportunities, as well as the opportunity to meet people from various schools throughout the
country. Multi-functional collaboration provides an opportunity to partner with a variety of people in the organization and
develop your leadership, analytical, and project management skills to build a strong career foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support package development activities for a broad portfolio of consumer healthcare products including OTC drugs
and dietary supplements
Create and/or update packaging component and assembly drawings and material specifications
Document all packaging design, development, and testing to comply with internal processes and regulatory
requirements
Support package development activities in Manufacturing Operations including packaging line trials
Interact with outside suppliers for packaging component development, evaluation, and testing
Recommend alternatives and solutions to resolve supply chain disruptions and emerging requirements
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's OR Master's degree in
Packaging Engineering/Science, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, OR related degree
Minimum GPA of 2.8
Candidates must be diligent, highly organized, and able to handle multiple tasks
Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Strong oral and written communication skills
Be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the co-op term
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities
