Insight Global Database Manager/System Administrator III in Fort Stewart, Georgia

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Database Manager to join their federal team at our Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF) and Fort Stewart locations in the Savannah, GA area (military experience not required). Our client's team has been partnering with Fort Stewart for approximately 15 years supporting their HVAC, energy efficiency and sustainability needs.

  Building controls network for both base sites

  Programming (sequencing and coding) and integrating programming into building controls

  Integrating multiple controllers/devices into a single network

   Currently using LonWorks but switching to BacNET

  Training controls technicians on how to work with BAS integration software to resolve day to day issues

  Work alongside Project Manager and Electrical crew to identify and resolve controls-based issues

  Provide data and progress reports to all stakeholders including Contracting Officers Representative (COR) and Ordering Officer (OO)

Technical:

  Maintaining the Utility Monitoring and Control Software (UMCS) database and Network Configuration Tool (NCT) to include up-to-date patches, fixes, upgrades, perform database backups, maintain user accounts and permissions, and update software as needed to maintain energy data retrieval from field devices as Information Assurance (IA) requirements permit

  Loads database points, imports and loads XIF/Resource Files to a LonWorks Control Server (LCS) and all LON required device plug-ins for commissioning devices and field Database management

  Monitors the LonWorks Control System (LCS) for amount of data stored on each server to maintain operation. Assigns LCS location for all building integrations as well as IP addresses

Provides review services of UMCS database, and Direct Digital Controls related designs and submittals for Military Construction from third party DDC contractors to determine if the DDC system meets the requirements of the System Integration Methodology

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of experience (15-20 preferred)

   Controls Engineering, Networking, Programming, Integrations

  Advanced computer skills, particularly with operating systems and database configuration

  Advanced knowledge and technical expertise with Metasys, including with configurations and programming

  Strong experience with Lonworks and BacNET BAS integration software

   Preference for BacNET

Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check) Experience supporting Army, Navy, Air Force or other branches of the military preferred

  Active Department of Defense Secret (or higher) clearance preferred within the last two years

Knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Experience working with Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS) strongly preferred null
