U.S. Army Medical Command Management Analyst in Fort Sam Houston, Texas

Summary About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Office of the Commander, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Responsibilities Serve as a Management Analyst in a headquarters command performing functions related to researching, developing and evaluating assigned or designated missions and functions. Formulate management and/or program evaluation plans for improvement on processes such as cost effectiveness, program efficiency, and direction of programs. Analyze and evaluate major organizational aspects of substantive, mission-oriented programs. Work results serve as the basis for new organizational systems, regulations or programs. Recommend adjustments and/or change to management as a part of organizational improvement strategy. Administer cost benefit and/or budget analysis of assigned programs. Contact others as necessary, both within and outside the activity, in order to accomplish objectives. Apply basic budgetary/financial management principles and techniques to long range planning. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience assisting with manpower programs; and assisting with programs/projects that change organizational processes; and assisting with resource allocation planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH02). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
