Job Summary:
Drives gas powered yard truck or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, swing reach, clamps, elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, materials and transports load to designated area
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
Pulls orders
Scans merchandise and locations using RF technology
Puts away merchandise to appropriate locations verified by the RF scanner
Operates equipment using The Children’s Place and Cal OSHA safety standards
Completes equipment checklist before and after each use in order to verify condition of machine
Immediately reports any problems with the machines to the Maintenance Supervisor
Moves trailers to their designated area

Relevant Experience/Requirements
Regularly required to use hands while controlling equipment; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and to write correspondence
Basic math skills are required, such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and the ability to effectively communicate with Supervisor
A minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training
Basic PC skills are required
All equipment operators must be trained and certified by The Children’s Place. Each equipment operator will be responsible for passing a written and behind-the-wheel examination with a minimum score of 70%
