Kimley-Horn Hydrogeologist in Fort Myers, Florida
Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Hydrogeologist with 4+ years of experience to join their Fort Myers, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Support various assessment and remediation projects, including brownfield development, along with groundwater resource investigations
Mentor staff within a team for completion of:
Soil and groundwater sampling
Aquifer performance testing and data evaluation
Pilot study investigations
Environmental compliance
Observation of remedial activities
Report writing agency coordination, and permitting
Qualifications
4+ years relevant experience
Bachelors or Masters in Geology
Ability to be licensed as a Professional Geologist
Possess strong knowledge of state and local environmental regulations
Possess experience with aquifer performance testing and data analysis and working with water management district staff
Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports
Enjoy working in both an office environment and in the field
Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Desire to provide exceptional client service
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to enjoy work independently and on a team
Experience with water use permitting rules and regulations
Practical experience with geographic information systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS
