Kimley-Horn Hydrogeologist in Fort Myers, Florida

Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Hydrogeologist with 4+ years of experience to join their Fort Myers, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Support various assessment and remediation projects, including brownfield development, along with groundwater resource investigations

  • Mentor staff within a team for completion of:

  • Soil and groundwater sampling

  • Aquifer performance testing and data evaluation

  • Pilot study investigations

  • Environmental compliance

  • Observation of remedial activities

  • Report writing agency coordination, and permitting

Qualifications

  • 4+ years relevant experience

  • Bachelors or Masters in Geology

  • Ability to be licensed as a Professional Geologist

  • Possess strong knowledge of state and local environmental regulations

  • Possess experience with aquifer performance testing and data analysis and working with water management district staff

  • Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports

  • Enjoy working in both an office environment and in the field

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed

  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines

  • Desire to provide exceptional client service

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to enjoy work independently and on a team

  • Experience with water use permitting rules and regulations

  • Practical experience with geographic information systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS
