United Way Of Morgan County Housing Program Manager in Fort Morgan, Colorado

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in nonprofit project management.
  • Experience and knowledge of the housing challenges and opportunities in Morgan County.
  • Existing relationships with, or ability to build relationships with, a cross-sector range of community stakeholders including nonprofit leaders, emerging community leaders and members of the community at large.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build authentic relationships and negotiate differences between a diverse set of stakeholders and community partners.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Able to work with multiple partners across the political and social spectrum toward the realization of our vision of community service.

Preferred Qualifications: - Strong preference for a candidate with bilingual abilities in English, Spanish, Somali, French or Kinyarwanda language. - Strong preference for a candidate with experience working directly with underserved community members in Morgan County. - Demonstrated understanding of health equity. - Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a dynamic environment. - Ability to perform as part of a small team and to be self-directed and work independently. - Ability to balance competing priorities with excellent time management skills and follow-through. - Ability to proactively negotiate or deescalate conflict to encourage positive working relationships.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

  • Annual salary range: $30 -$32/hour depending on experience/lived experience and multilingual abilities.
  • Full Time 40/week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point person for the Morgan County Housing Action Team (MCHAT).
  • Proactively and strategically recognize and connect intersecting opportunities for growth and service between the Collective Impact Teams - the Morgan County Housing Action Team (MCHAT), Food Coalition of Morgan County (FCMC) and the Child and Youth Action Team.
  • Serve as the trusted liaison between members of the broad cross-sector Action Team, MCHAT, monitoring and connecting members to maximize strengths in the face of evolving housing challenges and needs.
  • Build capacity of the United Way staff and MCHAT partners to maintain and accelerate the housing work in Morgan County.
  • Assist Executive Director and Community Organizer to convene, promote, host and facilitate MCHAT meetings.
  • Assist the Executive Director in the implementation of the Transformational Homelessness Response program, offering support to subgrantees to continue to effectively serve those most marginalized community members.
  • Ensure that the housing partnerships working under the umbrella of specific grants are coordinated to optimize intended community outcomes.
  • Build pathways to community leadership and non profit work among members of marginalized communities to ensure the voices of those most affected by systemic inequities are always centered in MCHAT efforts as well as the overarching Growing Together Initiative.
  • Improve systems of communication and cooperation between Action Team Members
  • Understand barriers to effective collaborative action and assist the Executive Director to develop and implement strategies for unified action.
  • Assist to create, promote and implement MCHAT's Community Campaign.
  • Assist to create a dialogue about the overarching mission, vision and values across cultural lines with a goal of creating a broad sense of belonging for all members of the community.
  • Assist Executive Director in identifying appropriate funding opportunities.
